The Youth Investment Project (YIP) helps youth obtain the skills they need to graduate or receive their GED. YIP serves high school seniors in Estill and Powell Counties, ages 16-18.  YIP helps youth prepare for college (visits and tours, applications, financial aid, ACT, supplies) and/or employment (resume, interviewing, dress for success, applications); as well as, community service; and leadership activities throughout the year. 

In addition to providing summer and year-round work experience and academic enrichment, participants receive other services such as developing work maturity skills, writing a resume and learning how to interview for a job and counseling and support services.

Graduates receive incentives in the form of gift certificates for completing the program. Incentives are based attendance and grades throughout the year.
