The Affordable Housing Program assists low and moderate-income households through homebuyer education classes and one-on-one homeownership counseling that enables many families who never believed they could own their own home to become homeowners.
Participants must also sign an agreement to participate in
a one year supportive services program targeted at life skills development
including counseling, case management, job training, parenting, problem
solving, nutrition, homeownership responsibilities and budgeting. For
one year, each tenant will receive continuous support from a Foothills
housing coordinator who will provide case management and advocacy targeted
at self-sufficiency and self-reliance. After the first year, services from
the housing coordinator will continue to be made available as needed.
